If you have two days to spend exploring Haderslev, prepare for many great surprises here. To make the most of your visit, follow this guide.
Day 1:
Visit the city’s most popular attraction, Haderslev Cathedral. Then stroll through the old quarter of the city. To make the most of your tour, book a tour guide. Call: +45 73545630 If you have time, there are three museums in the old quarter: Ehler’s Collection, Von Oberberg’s House and the Night Watchmen’s Museum.
Now head for the harbour. Go on board the fjord boat Helene. Book your passage and lunch at www.fjordbaaden.dk. Sail on beautiful Haderslev Fjord and visit Aarøisland, the jewel of the Little Belt.
Drive to Aarøsund harbour. Have dinner at AarøsundBadehotel (beach hotel) and have an ice cream on the quayside. As the sun sets, walk on Camino Haderslev Næs or end the day with a round of miniature golf at Gammelbro Camping (camp site).
Day 2:
Start the day with a cup of coffee or brunch at one of the many cafés in the pedestrian high street.
Find yourself an action-packed activity at www.acturepark.dk – Fancy climbing the wall at StreetDome or a spot of archery at Pamhule?
Take a trip on the lake boat. You can order a picnic basket from Hotel Norden or Danhostel to eat on board or in the Deer Park.
Drive to Gram Slotsby to spend the evening in the old castle town. Discover Gram Castle, shop for organic delicacies in the farm shop. You could even check out the new Gram Motivity Centre. Have dinner at Gram Slotskro (inn) and round of your day with a walk in the castle gardens and through the town.
