The History of Cycling in Southern Jutland

In connection with celebrations to mark Le Tour de France’s passage through Southern Jutland on 3 July 2022, Museum Sønderjylland has an exhibition of our cycling history in Haderslev, Aabenraa and Sønderborg.

Exhibition From penny farthing and bicycle jousting to the development of road bicycle racing

In connection with celebrations to mark Le Tour de France’s passage through Southern Jutland on 3 July 2022, Museum Sønderjylland has an exhibition of our cycling history in Haderslev, Aabenraa and Sønderborg.

There are four cycling history pillars, each with three focus points and cycling anecdotes from South Denmark Region. If you wish to know more about the local area, see Southern Jutland from a historical perspective and read stories about what made cycling indispensable here, pop along during the summer to Pakhuskajen and browse all 12 authentic stories.

The open air exhibition will be open in Haderslev until 18 September 2022, and in Aabenraa and Sønderborg until 21 August 2022. The exhibition is free. The stories are interesting for adults and children alike.

The exhibition is in three languages: Danish, English and German.
